Position Description

At a Glance

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Showroom Channel Sales Manager West Region to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team. The successful candidate will own, maintain, and grow relationships with assigned channels and be responsible for achieving sales and profitability within the region. The successful candidate will direct and coordinate sales personnel within Showroom (Agent Representatives) to ensure sales goals are met and/or exceeded for all product families. Develop relationships with external and internal customers to maximize communication from the field throughout the Legrand organization.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Manage territory to maximize sales effort at distribution, specifying community and end users. Manage pricing and project-related issues.
  • Develop relationships with external and internal customers. Identify the top contractor and distributor customers to take the lead in developing owner-level relationships.
  • Assist in the direction of selecting, hiring & managing Residential Manufacturer Representatives to sell channel or collection products through the Showroom channel.
  • Review sales and margin figures for territory. Conduct in-field sales training.
  • Implement established sales plans and strategies to promote growth in territory.
  • Ensures that all reports, expense reports, Territory Business Plan updates, etc. are done in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for strategic planning for all brands as it relates to distribution coverage in the territory.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
  • Be actively are involved with Lightovation in Dallas 2x’s a year and some regional activity involving trade shows.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & Rrquirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing OR six years working experience within the electrical distribution industry to include specific channel experience.

· Ability to travel up to 50%

· Must be within close proximity of an airport

 

SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:

· Ability to communicate with people at all levels of a matrixed organization

· Advanced level of computer literacy

· Experience using sales CRM automation tools
