At a Glance

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Lead to join the Finelite Team in Union City, CA. Under minimal or limited guidance, and in coordination with the Production Supervisor, organize, train and lead the daily production according to plans and schedules. Operates with an appropriate amount of independence to lead and guide their assigned section.

 

What Will You Do?

 

Major Responsibilities:

· First point of contact for production personnel and Lead-in-Training to address production related employee questions

· Primary source of employee training

· Knows and uses daily production schedule

· Uses productivity measures of personnel to make work assignments

· Knows the pick list and stockroom / how to pull parts

· Assists Supervisor with employee requests, concerns, issues, etc: Engages Supervisor for resolution

· Learns supervisory tasks in preparation for possible future assignments and coverage when needed

· Takes on increasingly complex production and people issues, with guidance

· Performs production related activities in assigned area/s

· Gains expanded knowledge of products & processes in order to train and lead others

· Learns how to train others & training techniques

· Becomes familiar with productivity of individual Assemblers

· Learns speed of production for product/product families

· Carries out activities from directions or instructions effectively

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

· 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment producing product from both verbal and written instructions and documentation

· Experience providing coaching and feedback to employees in order to maintain the production schedule, address training needs or facilitate interpersonal communications.

· Outlook Suite: email, Word, Excel

· High School diploma or equivalent (college degree a plus) with one year experience in a manufacturing and warehouse environment

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Able to work with all personnel in a positive and productive manner

· Displays a high level of attention to detail and able to adjust to changing priorities

· Proven ability to train others through demonstration, documentation and example

· Ability to discriminate between colors for lead identification

· Able to work in a fast paced environment

· Able to stand for a long period of time

· Able to use basic hand tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, pneumatic air tools)

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques

 

Compensation: $24.72/Hr
