Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Network Operations Manager to join the Legrand Corporate Team.  This is a remote position.

 

Reporting directly to the Americas Regional Director, Infrastructure Service Delivery, the Network Operations Manager for the Americas will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of network operations within the AM region.

This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in network management, adept at leading teams, and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure. The Network Operations Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and support partners to optimize network performance, implement strategic initiatives and delivery a stable support for network incidents and projects.

The Network Operations Manager will coordinate the delivery and execution of regional infrastructure services and operations for Legrand in the Americas.  The primary focus is to ensure timely resolution of incidents brought to Level 2 and implement approved changes where applicable.  This includes accountability for driving resolution of major incidents during crisis mode, deployment, and compliance to established infrastructure standards, regulations, and security policies of the existing regional IT infrastructure.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Network Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure across the Americas in line with the Legrand standards.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of network systems.
  • Manage the validation of new Network Infrastructure transition from project to operations.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Deployment of strategic IT group projects and assist in scoping, planning and deployment of local network projects pertaining to upscaling, site movements, obsolescence etc.
  • Evaluate regularly and manage the contractual operational performance and service delivery of the NOC partner.
  • Participation and presentation of deliverables and KPI adherence in steercos for clarity on domain governance.
  • Responsible for the contract management of the America region’s data circuits, including SLA management.
  • Responsible for the Asset Management of network infrastructure inventory in the America region.
  • Coordinates activities to maintain network infrastructure asset availability and incident/problem resolution.
  • Track, forecast and report the America region’s network operations actual expenses versus budget.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Communications, Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in network operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong customer focused, emphasis on getting the job done.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Excellent influencing skills, analytical and problem-solving and root cause identification skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player – able to work in a matrix organization with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and regions.
  • Excellent communication, data analytics, and presentation skills; able to communicate to both technical and non-technical people.
  • Business Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Conversational spoken Spanish or Portuguese proficiency an advantage.
  • Work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Excellent active listening skills.

 

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

 

  • Proficiency in network protocols, technologies, and infrastructure components.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Network operations and incident troubleshooting experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience of working in an ITIL focused support organization with incident, problem, change management, and capacity management processes.
