Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a IT Manager to join the Legrand Team

 

As an IT Manager, you'll help lead strategic project implementations including the readiness, discovery, design, configuration, and development activities. The role will ensure and support successful business adoption of new solutions, ongoing production support and post go-live enhancements. This role requires a strong understanding of ERP principles, proven project management experience and delivering high quality solutions through functional/technical development for the purpose of meeting overall business requirements.

 

This role also will manage the day to day operations and legacy applications that support the business. Manage major incidents, on call support, and break fix items that need to be remediated. Help to lead project steering committee meetings and the IT representative in the business staff meetings.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Engage business leaders, providing consultation, gathering their requirements (project or support related) and translating them into functional technical specifications
  • Review cross-functional business processes, identify gaps and propose remediation within existing application ecosystem
  • Facilitate development of solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, technological options, and process facilitation techniques
  • Advise on options, risks, resource requirements, and impact on other business processes and system priorities
  • Reviews and prioritizes IT support tickets, support requests, etc.
  • Assist in documenting systems and their interdependencies: evolving and maintaining design documents to reflect changes introduced by new implementations
  • Diagnose problems in response to customer reported incidents
  • Planning and delivery of customer support services including consultation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training for office and shop floor employees
  • Partner with the LNCA IT Infrastructure team to drive infrastructure and operations service excellence in a matrixed global environment
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of all hardware and software systems
  • Manage the local IT budget and expenses
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent

 

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years as IT manager
  • Experience managing AS400 ERP application landscapes
  • Experience in the process design, configuration, support and troubleshooting of functional areas including sales order & distribution, work order manufacturing, planning & procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with enterprise system integration
  • Demonstrated track record of successful delivery of enterprise IT solutions
  • Experience in supporting enterprise technology solutions including infrastructure and operations, cyber security, etc
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio, Project etc.

 

Skills/knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proven experience completing assigned tasks on multiple projects with tight deadlines successfully
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills able to identify flexible and futuristic IT solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communications – ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, both business and IT
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, honestly, and respectfully, with all levels of personnel
  • Work closely with other departments to meet performance and scalability expectations for ERP environment
  • Assess up-and-coming SAP technology, and create ideas and strategies for adoption
  • Excellent track record and proven ability to produce effective, innovative solutions on an enterprise scale.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
  • Adherence to IT project methodologies, and change control processes
  • Familiarity and comfort in working with a variety of support models with onsite & offshore resources
  • Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as required for production support when issues arise
