Legrand has an exciting remote opportunity for a Sales Operations Assistant to join the Data, Power & Control Division on a remote basis; ideally able to work between 9-6 EST or 7-4pm PST.
What Will You Do?
Role: Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Operations Assistant to join the Data Power and Control Team. Under direction of the Sales Operations Manager, the Sales Operations Assistant will provide assistance to inside sales team and customers to complete sales orders. The Sales Operations Assistant represents the entire range of company products and services.
Main Job Duties:
· Provide exceptional customer service to develop and maintain relationships with key partners/customers. Be proactive to provide information and respond to questions in a timely manner.
· Maintain accurate customer records and sales transactions in Salesforce CRM and SAP ERP.
· Provide assistance to customers, answer questions, respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, ship dates and inventory availability; expedite orders, follow through on quotes, and complete sales orders.
· Coordinate sales related activities with all members of the sales, marketing, operations and product support team.
· Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame, stay up-to-date with new features and product launches.
· Have a basic understanding of DPC’s products and services, and is current on industry trends and practices in the datacenter market place.
· Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations to management for resolution.
· Display original thinking and creativity; meet challenges with resourcefulness; generate suggestions for improving work; develop innovative approaches and ideas.
· Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; support and explain reasoning for decisions; include appropriate people in decision-making process; make timely decisions.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Preferred but not required - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years customer service experience or related industry experience. Experience in IT, data center industry preferred.
Salesforce and SAP experience is required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint), experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
• Position will require limited travel nationally; ideal candidate must be able to travel up to 4 times a year.

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000
