Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a District Sales Manager to join the Electrical Wiring Systems. The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading marketing initiatives and driving sales activities for the Electrical Wiring Systems (EWS) product lines within the Georgia and Alabama region, focusing on channel partners. This role emphasizes closely managing both direct and agency teams to enhance mindshare and foster collaborative growth.

 

Key responsibilities include achieving district and organizational goals for sales growth and profitability through market development, managing the sales lifecycle, and building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication across the Legrand organization.

Additionally, the District Sales Manager will oversee, direct, and coordinate sales efforts within the ED channel to meet or exceed sales targets across all product lines.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Develop and mentor salespeople within the district to maximize sales efforts with distributors, the specifying community, and end users.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both external and internal customers.
  • Analyze sales and margin figures for assigned territories and ensure salespeople are trained on products and best business practices.
  • Create Territory Business Plans and Key Account Business Plans to outline objectives for assigned territories and present them to the Regional Vice President for approval.
  • Execute established sales plans and strategies to drive growth within the district.
  • Actively share competitive insights and market dynamics internally to enhance solutions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the market development group, demand creation team, and strategic account sales teams to develop growth strategies and align efforts between targeted end users and channel partners.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing (MBA preferred).

OR

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry, including specific experience supervising sales teams.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels of a business unit.
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire, and mentor sales representatives, driving their success.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data insights to support decision-making and strategy development.
