Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Reading, UK.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Arranging efficient and cost-effective domestic and international transport of goods and services.
  • Monitor shipment progress and provide updates as and when required.
  • Prepare and review necessary import and export documentation ensuring accuracy and adherence to Customs regulations ( Commercial Invoices, Packing list, etc. )
  • Assist Logistics & Compliance Coordinator with archiving of all import and export documentation.
  • Liaise with 3PLs, Freight Forwarders and nominated agents.
  • Applying to Chamber of Commerce for Certificates of Origin, ATRs, EUR1 and other documents.
  • Preparing Road/Air or Sea freight quotes for Sales team.
  • Issuing Import or Export instruction to Freight Forwarders.
  • Build report and strengthen relationship with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Assist Logistics & Compliance Coordinator to improve and maintain Trade Compliance.
  • Proactively review customer orders and to ensure Logistics related information is provided.
  • Responsible to ensure all orders are shipped within agreed timelines.
  • Working closely with Warehouse/Dispatch team to ensure all orders are shipped promptly.
  • Provide support with other duties as and when required.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:

  • Logistics or Supply Chain degree preferred. Relevant work experience of 3-5 years and/or Member of Professional Membership Body.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of Incoterms and their practical application in EMEA region.
  • Practical knowledge of Customs Procedure Codes e.g. RGR, IP, OP.
  • Good understanding of product classification ( HS Codes ) and UK Trade-Tarriff, Certificates of origin and other documents used in Logistics and International Trade with focus on EMEA region.
  • Experience of working with Road, Sea and Air freight and good understanding of documents applicable to each transport mode.
  • Good experience on using software or portal provided by fast parcel couriers like DHL or FedEx.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and good understanding of Microsoft Visio and other IT software.
  • Great attention to detail to mitigate any risk of non-compliance.
  • Working knowledge of Post Brexit requirements with relevant Incoterms.
  • Creating Work Instructions.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of cross functional team.
  • Ability to communicate in clear and concise way with internal and external stakeholders.
