Quality Control Technician

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control technician to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Independence, OH. As a member of our Quality Control team, your skills testing product received from our contract manufacturers enables us to offer the high-quality products that our customers rely on. You will be responsible to ensure that all product meets our specifications and quality standards.

What Will You Do?

• Follow documented procedures to test incoming product and complete Technician work orders.
• Conduct new product testing, including obtaining specifications, obtaining approval from appropriate departments, and completion of documentation.
• Process documentation for failed product.
• Process and document outcome of customer evaluations.
• Process customer RMAs, including testing and documentation of all returned product.
• Update existing procedures for new products or test equipment.
• Program products to meet specifications, per Legrand or customer requirements.
• Communicate highly technical material to the team simply and clearly.
• Support the team by understanding product applications, apply and streamline Legrand processes to assure closing of opportunities and our ability to deliver products as they are needed.
• Deliver solutions that are on time and align with customer expectations.
• Assure high customer satisfaction that resolves technical questions, support, and needed assistance.

Required Skills

Education:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience is desired.

 Experience:

• 1-3 years of related experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
• Proficient keyboarding skills.
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
