Role:     

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an IT Intern to join the Starline Team in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Seeking a college student for a summer internship.  The intern will assist in the IT Desktop Support tasks including Provide technical support for end users in person, via phone or remote access. The intern will learn about IT service management and ITIL framework, put that in practices, and participate in support general hardware and software technical issues under the instructions of senior IT members and desktop support

 

Main Job Duties:

  • Assist IT onsite support team
  • Provide end user technical assistance
  • Provide in person and remote end user support
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network issues

Qualifications

Education:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology discipline; At least 2 years of college education completed
  • Prior work or education experience in PC support. 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications/Office 365
  • Interest and willingness to learn ITIL Foundation
  • Strong communication skills and able to resolve basic computer issues.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

In this role, this individual will support Legrand’s efforts to enter extensive product information and material ingredient reporting data from Health Product Declarations into the Google Portico database and to scrub the existing data to ensure accuracy and consistency. They will also develop a learning module to help build internal expertise around Google Portico for engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders within Legrand.
