At a Glance

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager - Second Shift to join the Data Power & Control Division in Anaheim, CA. This position is responsible for managing all sheet metal manufacturing areas to ensure that production, quality, and safety standards are achieved according to production schedules. We are expanding the business and this new position will grow with the team. 

 

Main Job Duties:

  • Execute the production plan by efficiently using staffing, materials, equipment, and other resources and setting production goals.
  • Monitor production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements.
  • Determine staffing requirements and make recommendations to senior leadership regarding compensation, performance, and shift coverage.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, turnaround, and downtime and communicate such with senior leadership.
  • Ensure training processes, equipment, and tool requirements comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Coach teams on best practices, performance issues, and employee relations concerns to resolve problems.
  • Ensure manufactured components meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory transactions according to established processes.
  • Analyze processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Provide effective leadership, guidance, and coaching to ensure optimal personnel effectiveness and engagement.
  • Promote and enable cross-training and continuous improvement for all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 base salary, plus bonus

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Sheet metal manufacturing experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of effectively leading others is required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • General knowledge of ERP systems is required; SAP experience is preferred.
  • ISO 9001 experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others, are required.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically with solid business acumen and an understanding of multiple functional areas is required.
  • Must be highly collaborative, able to work effectively across functions, and support an environment of innovation and creative change
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
