Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk - EBS to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team in Uniontown, PA. This Receiving Clerk is responsible for prioritizing orders on what is next and drive the work flow throughout the shift. Processes all incoming RMA’S and communicates with other departments on issues. Assist accounting with backdating non-stock PO’s during end of month. Also assists with the unloading and receiving incoming freight, verification of quantities utilizing a variety of resources (computers, calculators, scales, etc.). This position will verify paperwork, packing slips to purchase orders that have been entered Syteline.  Requires high attention to detail, accuracy in documenting and performing transactions.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items verify information against purchase orders and records. Provide direction and prioritizes orders on what is next and drives the workflow throughout the shift.
  • Organize receiving dock for essential material that production needs received in first.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor for proper and timely flow of raw materials.
  • Coordinate with QA for processing of discrepant raw materials.
  • Receive incoming freight (UPS, FedEx, Graybar, LTL) by guidelines, verify quantities and distribute correctly. Label all freight with barcodes, and alert purchasing for any discrepancies.
  • Receive product, verify incoming freight to purchase order.
  • Process all incoming RMA’s and notify contacts associated with return of product, backflush of inventory and distribution.
  • Assist accounting with backdating non-stock PO’s during end of month.
  • Uses computer programs such as Syteline, Internet and UPS regularly throughout the shift.
  • Completely cross-trained in UEC receiving functions.
  • Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices including the SECRIT values.
  • Unload trucks.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory transactions.
  • Receive and process outsourced plating orders.
  • Matching up Jobs and weights returned from outsourced plating.
  • Cross training to work in other functional department of the plant.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Lead in organizing RMA for deposition with communication of product short or over on RMA.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:           

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience in receiving department required.
  • Forklift truck experience preferred.
  • Experience with UPS online software is desirable.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Equipment selection — determining equipment needed to do a job.
  • Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to train new employees as it relates to Receiving.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
  • Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally, 50 pounds for extended period of time and up to 25 lbs. often.
  • Stockroom setting with material handling equipment in use and limited exposure to environmental conditions.
  • Regularly standing, walking, climbing ladders for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work with personal safety equipment such as safety harness, foot protection, safety glasses, and hearing protection when necessary.
