Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Global Account Manager to join the DPC RAR/STI and CCB Team. Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Global Account Manager to join the Data, Power & Control Division sales team. The Global Account Manager is a quota carrying sales position doing both direct and indirect selling to Data Center Key Decision Makers, CIOs, CTOs and technology experts in Enterprise and Hyperscale organizations.  This position is responsible for generation revenue for global accounts and will work with DPC’s largest technology customers in the world along with their RTM partners, Value Added Resellers, Direct Marketers & System Integrators to capture market share and achieve revenue targets for Server Technology and Raritan Power and Cabinet and Containment Solutions.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Manage large hyperscale and/or enterprise accounts for the company and build relationships with key personnel.
  • Network within global accounts to secure business opportunities.
  • Ensure internal company functions give the highest level of customer service to global accounts.
  • Monitor incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled effectively.
  • Hold regular cadence meetings with internal and external stakeholders about key accounts.
  • Investigate and resolving queries and issues raised by global accounts.
  • Review historical sales quotas and regional numbers; assign growth targets.
  • Develop effective sales strategy and ensure its timely implementation.
  • Manage customer accounts by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and channel partner personnel.
  • Create account business plans to include quarterly business reports, suggestions, sales objectives and forecasting.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership management on status and performance of customer accounts within the territory and geographies.
  • Collaborate with other DPC Business Units on global account strategies.
  • Establish productive relationships with key contacts in assigned accounts, introduce geographical contacts WW to ensure continuity.
  • Forecast sales, collaborate to ensure product availability, manage supply chain to exceed onsite date expectations.
  • Strategize/Position product solutions that would benefit both Legrand Data, Power and Control Division and customers from a global perspective (ie. Consistency, stocking, etc).
  • Maintain global communication with customers regarding new product releases.
  • Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends and competitors.
  • Act as the technology expert for Legrand at the named accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

  • Education:  
    • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with emphasis in Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 7 years outside sales experience and 5+ years selling to hyperscale or enterprise customers.
    • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in information technology industry, data center industry experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

    • Experience selling within Internet/Cloud/Hyperscale organizations.
    • Able to speak t o the relevant technology of the Data Center White Space.
    • Keen knowledge of the Legrand data center offering as well as Legrand’s competitors.
    • Promote company strategies and deliver compelling corporate presentations to influence new organizations.
    • Effectively align Legrand Data, Power & Control Division with customer business needs
    • Natural ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
    • Strong people and general management skills.
    • Experience working with international and cross-functional teams.
    • Customer service oriented.
    • Understand large organizations business structure and complexities.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint), experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% to effectively manage the accounts.

 

Salary and Benefits: $200,000 - $240,000 (OTE) base plus commission. Compensation is based on location, experience full package and current role within Legrand.
