Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Data Power and Control Team. The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing sourcing operations that build value-driven vendor partnerships with a focus on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness that support overall organizational strategies. This is a remote position. 

 

What Will You Do?

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for commodity and/or suppliers while leveraging division and corporate tools and best practices to deliver the required cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and supply chain resiliency metrics
  • Achieve supplier management and compliance expectations including CSR, risk management and supplier financial health for the business, as required by division and corporate metrics
  • Nurtures vendor partnerships, tracks KPI's and goals and monitors scorecards to measure and evaluate vendor performance
  • Develop supply resiliency for the business in current and future supply base by ensuring the supplier has capacity, capability, and inventory management to support business dynamics
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements, optimizing costs without compromising quality or service levels
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and ensure alignment with current and future sourcing strategies
  • Evaluates new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials by studying market intelligence and conducting frequent market analysis and benchmarking to anticipate price fluctuations
  • Evaluate and address risk factors related to current and future supply base, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Serve as point of escalation for critical shortages to ensure operations can protect business continuity
  • Collaborate with supply chain and engineering teams on supplier development, supplier setup, audit and compliance
  • Manage processes, create efficiencies, and control costs using ERP systems and software tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field is required
  • Project management certification is preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of supply chain or sourcing experience is required

Preferred Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge of raw metals like steel, aluminum products is preferred
  • Strong computer skills (MS Teams, Smartsheet, Excel to include Pivot Tables, Power Point) are required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to manage multiple programs/projects and work under uncertainty and to resolve conflict in a constructive manner is required
  • Ability to work independently using sound organizational and time management skills is required
  • Ability to apply mechanical principles to solve problems through ingenuity and collaboration with subject matter experts and key stakeholders is required
  • Able to travel up to 40% is required
