Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Memphis, TN. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of on-site operations, logistics, inventory, and labor coordination for the successful installation and commissioning of rear door heat exchangers.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Oversee logistics for project execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery coordination in two data center locations approximately 15 miles apart.
  • Manage on-site inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring availability, management of counts, and proper storage.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site labor, subcontractors, and resources to ensure the timely and accurate installation of rear door heat exchangers on GPU and network racks.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, creating and distributing daily progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues related to mechanical systems and installation processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and deliverables, including factory teams in the US and UK.
  • Perform hands-on tasks as needed, including lifting and carrying equipment.
  • Recommend process improvements as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant product management experience in a related product category or industry is required.
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure and cooling systems is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in data centers, HVAC, or mechanical systems, is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in HVAC and mechanical systems is required.
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to drive results, are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to think at both a strategic and tactical level with solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of managing complex projects and logistics are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a data center environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and moderate noise levels is required.
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds is required.
  • A Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
