Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Global Key Account Manager to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team. This is a remote position reporting to Canonsburg, PA. The Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) will serve as the strategic lead for managing and expanding relationships with assigned major global technology companies in the data center sector. This role is responsible for driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through the promotion and delivery of Open Channel and High-Power Busway solutions tailored to the unique needs of hyperscale users.

 

As the primary liaison between the company and its most critical clients, the GKAM will develop and execute global account strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with customer roadmaps, sustainability goals, and infrastructure expansion plans. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the data center ecosystem, strong technical acumen in power distribution systems, and a proven track record of managing complex, multi-regional accounts.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Own and grow strategic relationships and revenue with global hyperscalers.
  • Develop and implement global account plans aligned with customer and company objectives.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract development, and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, customer roadmaps, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent global service delivery and support across regions.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally to influence product development and innovation.
  • Assist with cross-selling other DPC products into the assigned account(s).

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred), Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in key account management, preferably in the electrical or data center industry.
  • Proven ability to manage global accounts and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Travel up to 40% with willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Deep understanding of busway systems and data center infrastructure preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strategic Account Management: Proven ability to develop and execute global account strategies, manage complex sales cycles, and build long-term relationships with hyperscale clients.
  • Technical Expertise in Power Distribution Systems: In-depth knowledge of busway systems, data center power architectures, and industry standards.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate across engineering, operations, and executive teams globally, while effectively representing the voice of the customer.
  • Market & Customer Insight: Ability to analyze market trends, customer roadmaps, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and influence product development.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.
  • Regularly required to communicate with others.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
