Position Description

At a Glance

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to join the Data, Power & Control Division, supporting our Cabinets and Containment business unit in Anaheim, CA. This role is responsible for all functions of the Quality Control/Assurance Department, including but not limited to reporting, internal auditing, customer surveys, ISO certification maintenance, and improving SOPs.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Supervise the team engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity. 
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. 
  • Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality. 
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. 
  • Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams and provide and oversee inspection activity for the product throughout the production cycle. 
  • Approve incoming material inspections and file Certificates of Conformance and test data reports for raw material. 
  • Schedule all internal audits and verify correction of con-conforming items and complete corresponding documentation. 
  • Inspect and determine the disposition of all RMA return items. 
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish the quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. 
  • Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs. 
  • Update all ISO with process changes and maintain continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

COMPENSATION - $115,000 to $130,000

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required 

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of quality control/assurance experience is required 
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience is required 
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of test and reliability practices is required 
  • A thorough understanding of applicable ISO 9001 requirements is required 
  • Knowledge of advanced Quality Tools, such as Six Sigma/Green-Black Belt and Lean Principles, is required 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills are required 
  • Meticulous attention to detail is required 
  • The ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool is required 
  • The ability to lift 45 pounds is required 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required
