Position Description

At a Glance

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join the Data Center Power and Control Division ZPE Systems Team in Blumenau/SC, Brazil. In this role, you will be responsible for creating testing-related documentation such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, and bug reports to assess product quality and associated risks. You will also collaborate closely with the automation team to automate key features, ensuring broader and more efficient regression coverage. Additionally, you will help triage automation results and contribute to maintaining their accuracy and reliability. Developing a deep understanding of the product will be essential, as you will conduct QA tests and verify outcomes according to defined schedules and timelines. Working within an Agile environment, you will partner with software engineers, product managers, and fellow QA testers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development process. Final, you will participate in architecture and code-level discussions, driving technical reviews and providing valuable input during design and implementation stages

 

What Will You Do?

  • Designing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting network protocols and services.
  • Conducting manual testing of software applications.
  • Preparing and maintaining QA documentation.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.

Experience:

  • Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches (black box and/or automated testing) in a software company with short-release cycles.
  • Experience in writing test cases and automating them, covering both sanity and in-depth testing including and not limited to boundary, negative, compatibility, and concurrency tests.
  • 2+ years of experience developing end-to-end testing frameworks.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with versioning tools such as Gitlab, Github.
  • Understanding of programming logic and languages such as Python, Golang, Java.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly.
  • Basic knowledge of networking or a strong interest in developing it further.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and improving QA processes and methodologies.
