Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join the Building Control Systems WattStopper Team remotely in Southern, CA. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and cultivating new business opportunities for the Building Control Systems (BCS) division, focusing on Vantage Lighting Controls in the luxury residential market.

 

What Will You Do?

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develop, prospect, and contact new customer targets at the integrator level to develop differentiated programs focusing on Vantage while identifying opportunities for other Legrand brands.
  • Provide ongoing support to service the customer’s needs, creating new business through this continuous interaction.
  • Support projects through site visits as required to solve challenges, propose new solutions, and maximize Legrand bundled lighting control solutions.
  • Track projects through identifying winning dealers and secure the business.
  • Work with application engineers to coordinate releases, work on quotes, and confirm B.O.Ms.
  • When necessary, establish, develop, and maintain relationships with channel partners and build complete value solutions.
  • Work with strategic partners to understand and deliver on their business requirements with Legrand Controls including programs, channel partners, personnel, and products.
  • Work with strategic partners to identify challenges that Legrand Controls can solve including gathering and reporting on competitive programs.
  • Work with Legrand’s management team to ensure understanding and implementation of our product offerings to promote and educate target dealers on value proposition and sales strategies to increase revenue with these accounts.
  • Liaise with Legrand managers on the strategy and implementation.
  • Work in conjunction with Legrand management and territory Rep agencies to coordinate market efforts to maximize volume, mix, and margin.
  • Assist sales and marketing in the development of new programs and initiatives to improve Legrand Controls market position.
  • Provide training, feedback and sales support to sales and marketing management with regard to competitive intelligence.
  • Provide technical support to field contractors, specifiers, end-users, dealers as needed.
  • Update Salesforce.com with wins, losses, market-competitive information and keep all projects and key activities updated on Salesforce.com.
  • Promote customer relations by travelling extensively to support sales efforts. As required through participation in sales-driver events such as joint sales calls, tradeshows, etc. to maintain a presence throughout the country.
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved as outlined in Legrand Controls budgets.
  • Fiscal responsibility for specified cost center in conjunction with budgetary levels provided.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education/Experience:

  • BS or BA Degree from an accredited University in Sales/Marketing or related field.
  • Requires a minimum of five years' experience in Sales in a related environment. Prior experience in managing and executing product sales in the shading and lighting controls market will be preferred.
  • Experience within a professional work environment and strong business acumen is required.
  • Previous experience using SalesForce.com tool would be considered an asset.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong team development skills, personal selling skills, organizational skills and ability to implement the marketing strategy.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Must be an effective listener, with the ability to maintain focus with a high level of detail and extract necessary information to validate understanding of the information.

  • Demonstrated problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment, effectively works across functional units to achieve results.
  • Excellent skills in project management, demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decisions, handle multiple priorities and effectively delegate responsibilities to ensure high quality service is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and a strong customer-oriented mindset to ensure service excellence is delivered by all staff members.
  • Technical expert related to product application.
  • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.

 Pay Range: $100,000-$135,000/annually
