Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our Data Center Power & Control Division in Anaheim, CA. In this leadership role, you will guide and support a collaborative engineering team responsible for engineer-to-order (ETO) projects. These projects utilize various configurations of existing design platforms to create solutions that meet customer needs and can be manufactured efficiently and sustainably.

What You Will Do
• Lead day-to-day operations of a supportive, team-based engineer-to-order department.
• Oversee creation of manufacturing packages for custom-configured cabinet assemblies.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and translate them into clear engineering plans.
• Provide accurate engineering lead-time estimates for all projects.
• Create 3D CAD assemblies using existing models, adapting designs to align with customer needs.
• Design custom accessories aligned with EIA-310 standards.
• Develop manufacturing fixtures, detailed part drawings, weldment drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Build complete product structures and routings in the ERP system.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Partner with regulatory agencies such as UL during testing and compliance work.

Qualifications

Required Education:
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. preferred.

Required Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of sheet metal-based product fabrication.

Skills & Abilities:
• Strong project leadership abilities, with a collaborative, people-centered approach.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Proficiency in NC punch and laser programming, Microsoft Office, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and SolidWorks.
• Excellent communication and listening skills across all organizational levels.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, team-oriented environment where everyone can contribute and thrive.

Compensation range:
$120,000–$140,000 annually.
