Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Sales Manager, China to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Starline Team. This is a remote position reporting to Tuas, Singapore. Responsible for the management and leading the BUS China sales team (currently 4 sales reps). Leads, plans, and establishes the sales strategies and efforts of the Starline sales team within the China region focused on increasing data center, colocation data centers and hyperscale clientele sales for Starline. Monitors and tracks sales metrics and makes adjustments to sales team as necessary in order to meet sales targets. Lead the team to increase revenue and profitability through the development and implementation of international growth strategies, including channel, vertical market, and target account establishments in China.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Increase top line sales in China market with margin approved by company.
  • Develop China sales channels, recruit new sales representatives, managing and supporting existing sales representatives and administration on contract signing, pricing strategy, product training, and service support programs.
  • Develop and implement target hyperscale data centers, IT and other related industrials end key account management.
  • Negotiate contracts and assist with administration.
  • Create proposals, sales letters, prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Hands on and perform sales calls.
  • Identify and recommend marketing activities such as trade shows and promotional programs.
  • Attend trade shows and assist with set up and dismantling of booths.
  • Manage opportunities, leads and other sales activities on company CMS salesforce.
  • Weekly sales meeting, weekly opportunities status and progress report.
  • Monitor China market trends and provide ideas on product development to adapt to market needs.
  • Coordinate with factory to meet delivery timeline.
  • Develop new customer accounts and retain existing ones.
  • Assists with Import and export requirements.
  • Assists on account receivables with Credit Manager.
  • Establish & develop multi-channel sales strategy.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:

  • Engineering degree is required.

Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience managing and working on the ground with sales team.
  • 8 years’ experience working with busway/busbar products (preferably) in the Datacenter market/Hyperscale and specifying engineering community.
  • 10 years’ experience selling to the Datacenter/Hyperscale market, specifying engineering community and end users.
  • 10 years’ experience developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plans.
  • Have existing network of China Datacenter/Hyperscale markets customers and potential representatives.
  • Proven background in sales growth in the Datacenter/Hyperscale markets.
  • High computer literacy (PowerPoint, PC proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of sales contact management databases and CRM systems).
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform new tasks as assigned by assigned by management.
