Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Intern – Talent Programs to join the team in West Hartford, CT or Chicago, IL. We are seeking a graduate student intern to support our Talent, Engagement, and Inclusion team across two focus areas: early-in-career program management and employee engagement. The intern will take on meaningful work alongside experienced managers and will have the opportunity to apply and develop skills in program management, stakeholder engagement, recruiting coordination, and people analytics.

Given the collaborative nature of the role, the intern will work across multiple managers and will be expected to manage their own time and priorities effectively.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Cross-functional visibility: You will work with sales leaders, HR business partners, marketing teams, and senior leadership across divisions.
  • Peer-adjacent environment: Many of the program participants you will work with are at a similar career stage. We value your perspective as a near-peer, and your manager will be closely involved to provide guidance and support.
  • Breadth across HR: Your project work will span talent management, learning & development, inclusion, and employee engagement.

What You Will Gain

  • Hands-on experience co-managing an active early-career development program from day one
  • Exposure to HR generalist functions across talent acquisition, L&D, and employee engagement
  • Mentorship and close guidance from experienced HR leaders
  • A professional network spanning HR, sales, and marketing stakeholders across the organization

  • Partner with managers to drive accountability on performance management, using tools such as structured 1:1s, feedback trackers, and goal creation & evaluation

  • Coordinate campus recruitment visits and on-site program events such as orientation and training sessions
  • Maintain program data, metrics, and documentation to support continuity and continuous improvement

Inclusion & Employee Engagement Projects (as-needed)

  • Assist with inclusion & employee engagement initiatives as directed by the Manager, Employee Engagement
  • Potential areas include: survey design and analysis, engagement event coordination, communication drafting, and reporting

General

  • Manage your own schedule across two managers, communicating proactively about capacity and priorities
  • Stay current on trends in talent development, early-career programs, and employee experience

Qualifications
