 At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer - EV Charging to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Wiremold Team in West Hartford, CT.  The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of new electrical products from concept to production, evaluation of third-party designs, and technical support of mature products.  Working individually or as part of a design team to develop, evaluate, and validate product designs, specifications, design reviews, documentation packages, preproduction builds, and transfers to production.  Provides guidance and support to engineering team members within the discipline and across disciplines. What Will You Do?- Manage company technology research and development initiatives. - Lead investigations of emerging technologies, providing insight into better and more advanced products, features, and benefits for customers.- Design, build, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical components, sub-assemblies, and products, using schematic capture and PCB layout programs, various digital and analog test equipment, ensuring that the design specifications are met or updated, as necessary, to reflect changing requirements and/or design realities.- Liaise with software development teams and external contractors to ensure software and hardware compatibility.- Provide support to the marketing function, assist with product design requirements, review competitive products, assist with reviewing technical literature, and help with determining our customer's product needs. - Support and advise on products' environmental impact and provide data that ensures they meet the Legrand Way for socially responsible products. - Coordinate new designs and design changes with engineering, CAD, technical writing, test engineering, and production, ensuring that the product and customer documentation are correct and current.- Performs other similar and related duties as required.
