Reporting to the Director of Operations Engineering, this position is responsible for the global deployment of operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives and policies in Reno, Mexico, and Taiwan to support PAC’s Operational strategy and annual goals. This position is tasked with identifying opportunities across the business, driving change, and developing plans to assist with the achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Capex, and Working Capital targets. Main Job Duties:- Establish and communicate the vision for utilizing lean principles and a continuous improvement culture to drive operational excellence throughout the organization. Work with the various sites to plan and execute short-term and long-term operational goals using lean tools and processes.- Train and mentor business process owners, plant managers, and site leaders in the concepts of CI and the other lean and Six Sigma tools available. Formulate and oversee the implementation, adoption, and effectiveness of Legrand Way tools.- Manages and tracks all aspects of CSR activities related to Water Intensity, Energy Consumption, Landfill Diversion rate, and TCO2 reduction.- Assist in developing a CI roadmap and driving lean manufacturing philosophy throughout the organization. Improve the “Visual Factory” at various sites by incorporating management dashboards and visual indicators for “Standard Work”.- Collaborate with plant managers and other functions to manage the annual operating budget for the OPEX group, including productivity savings and capital expenditures.- Identify and facilitate projects and meetings to drive desired outcomes. Lead project meetings and ensure an open flow of communication and information across the organization.- Partner with Quality to establish tools and methodologies for addressing production/customer/quality issues.- Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Value Stream/Production Manager to optimize and align manufacturing data accuracy across the organization.- Team up with plant personnel in identifying improvements in equipment, processes, or technologies to assure satisfactory process capability and achieve cost improvements.- Travel will be required to international locations, up to 30%.
