This position supports the PAC Raritan and STI brand PDU in support of problem investigation and reworking product. The technician is responsible for the testing of our customer returned product. This individual will support the customer requested reworks as well. The Support Technician will play a key support role in the process making minor repairs to returned product. This position ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals. What Will You Do? Main Responsibilities:- Follow procedures for rework, upgrading, and testing of product.- Perform work in accordance to UL Standards- Determine failure mode for all power related product failures, clearly reporting and documenting failure symptoms to enable root cause determination.- Transact material/product transactions in our SAP system.- Repair returned product. Return repaired products to customers or restock/re-package/scrap product in accordance with established procedures.- Troubleshoot and isolate physical and functional product defects by inspecting returned product.- Identify and record product failures to identify possible failure trends.- Perform failure analysis as needed.- Record root cause of all diagnosed units in Salesforce.com and Agile.- Report weekly on open/closed cases to ensure cases are closed in a timely manner.- Develop and write processes for both internal and customer use.- Read and understand wiring diagrams and layout drawings to assist in product failure review.- Identify non-conforming parts or assemblies.- Perform electronic assembly and repair per IPC standards.- Provide updates, status, and completion information to Technical Support team via problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.- Perform other duties as assigned

Coordinate all aspects of customer support, including customer communication, performance, auditing, etc., as it pertains to large projects. Schedule bi-weekly conference calls with internal sales team and customers to discuss status of the projects.- Manage Export projects for specified customers.- Travel as needed for site or customer visits, evaluate customer specific situations and make decisions that will ultimately satisfy our customer.- Process orders, quotes and freight analysis, including interpretation of numerous different sales documents and reading of fine print to accurately fulfill customer requests.
