At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join the Lighting Sector, Original Cast Lighting (OCL) Team in Saint Louis, MO. The Continuous Improvement Lead serves as leader for Continuous Improvement (CI) within the organization. This position uses knowledge of CI processes to recognize opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the business. The CI Champion is accountable for the implementation of the company’s strategy development and deployment, improvement projects and process accountability. This role will focus on 5 key areas of CI: culture, engagement, support, analysis, and results. Position reports to plant manager.  What Will You Do? To support the organization in implementing lean transformation and standard daily management across including:- Implement tactical strategies to achieve the desired operational vision.- Execute activities against long and short-term objectives to support the Plant’s KPI’s and goals.- Work with necessary site personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process related obstacles and waste.- Assist in the change systems/processes as required in support of the lean initiatives.- Utilize value stream mapping techniques to design optimal product, material and information flow methodologies.To act as a change agent to bring improvements to the overall plant through active support, facilitation, and leadership of Kaizen events; including:- Coaching and following-up on pre-work and post-work standards.- Participate in Gemba walks, coaching employees on continuous improvement, standard work, and waste reduction.- Coach employees on problem solving techniques.- Help create, update, and maintain visual management tools.To support activities needed to incorporate lean transformation and daily management into the Plant culture:- Assist in the identification and facilitation of lean and continuous improvement training to the hourly and salaried staff.- Drive an Operational Excellence culture, through coaching employees, to drive lean behaviors, and follow the Legrand Way.- Facilitate the completion of the Legrand Way Radar to identify focus areas to improve in lean culture.- Coach the Legrand Way Values to all employees.Track improvements made to the Plant to provide assurance that changes are effective and sustainable:- Audit the areas after improvements are implemented.- Monitor and report on key metrics.

At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Packager to join the OCL Team in St. Louis, MO. Prepares, bundles, and packages the finished product for shipment to the customer. Secures finished product for transport using manual bundling tools. Moves finished product to designated area by manually lifting, moving, and/or using a forklift. What Will You Do?- The packager secures and bundles product for shipment. Tools used; cardboard, wood reinforcements, strapping tools, tape, and shrink wrap.- Applies labels to the finished product.- Moves and stacks material/product to designated area (staging, will call etc...).- Cuts wooden shipping reinforcements using a table saw.- Ensures accurate customer order number is placed on finished packages.- Assist the other departments when needed- Responsible to inspect all products packaged to ensure high quality shipment to the customer- Ability and knowledge of forklift operations, certification is onsite required.- Good knowledge of appropriate safety practices; must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and practices.- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.- Able to stand the majority of the work day- Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling.- Keeps work area clean and organized.

At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Assembler to join the OCL Team in St. Louis, MO. This position involves final assembly and wiring of light fixtures.Work involves the assembly, test, and modification of electrical components using blueprints, schematics, written, and verbal instructions. An assembler will use various machines, adhesives, to completely assemble a light fixture. Training provided. Main Job Duties:· Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings/renderings, and receives verbal instructions regarding work assignment.· Aligns and assembles parts such as leads, coils, wires, tabs and terminals into housing.· Routes and laces cables.· Installs components and parts such as switches, coils, transformers, relays, transistors, ballasts, and semiconductor circuits on panels, and other units.· Routes and attaches wires and connectors to form circuitry and connects assembly to power supply sources, switch panels, or junction boxes. Attaches hardware and seals assembly.· Examines parts for defects: both visual (chips, scratches) and operational· Tests unit to locate defects, measure performance, determine need for adjustment and verify specified operation.· Replaces defective component and wiring.· Assembles and calibrates fixture according to specifications.
