At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager - Inside Sales to join the Finelite Team in Union City, California.The position of Account Manager-Inside Sales is a critical role with our organization providing sales support and superior customer service from the sale through to a successful installation of the product.  The Account Manager-Inside Sales also generates sales with a close partnership with our agent representatives through project collaboration and serves as the voice of Finelite, working directly with sales agents, specifiers, contractors, architects.  This position is expected to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally and consistently provide superior customer service at all times. To succeed in this role, you must have a talent for superior customer service and internal motivation to deliver a high quality product. A successful Account Manager-Inside Sales has an exceptional attention to detail, can fluidly multi-task among conflicting priorities and deadlines, and is passionate about building, nurturing, and supporting existing relationships with our internal and external customer bases.  What Will You Do? - Works directly with a variety of internal and external customers to address questions and concerns, provide timely response to requests, juggle shifting priorities, and keep on top of deadlines and expected follow through with both internal and external customers.- Partner with Field Sales and Field Service teams to provide lighting design, pricing, and technical support before, during, and after the sale.- Ongoing communication and follow through with internal departments that relate to the completion of the projects (i.e. purchasing, production, engineering, etc.).- Educate customers on all new features and other company products and services. Clearly articulate the features, benefits, and value-add of our products.- Generate quotations based on price requests from Agents and “take-offs”.- Perform as Customer Advocate for product function, quality, and usability throughout the sales process.- Ability to read/understand blueprints, construction and/or architectural documents (experience with Bluebeam a plus).- Ability to learn about new features and product releases as developed.- Ability to foster innovation by helping develop new ways of doing business.- Ability to take individual initiative to get things done by actively working to improve current processes.

Main Job Duties:- Primary IE workload:- Operations process improvement (focuses in Manufacturing and collaborates with Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering).- Factory work cell/manufacturing process layout/workflow/materials flow design and improvement.- Facilities renovations (planning, contractor coordination, and city/landlord approvals).- Assist Manufacturing Engineering team – NPIs (New Product Developments), ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), and OMSs (Operations Methods Sheets).- Supportive process control – packaging design, marketing/sales data flow, BOM/pick list accuracy, IT systems, etc. - Develops manufacturing/machining processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with strategic supplier and equipment vendors.- Identifies operations process problems via root cause analysis to problem solve, train, document, and revise issue cause(s).- Improves manufacturing/machining efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, materials flow, and facilities layout.- Researches, proposes, and executes facilities trade work (via contractors in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) to plan improvement in current operations as well as future work cell expansion. - Assists Manufacturing Engineering team:- Liaison with Engineering on NPI (New Product Introductions) integration and develop training and documentation schedule.- Implement, train, and follow-up on ECR/ECOs and other relevant processes that directly impact manufacturing.- Leads interdepartmental business process improvement (Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Finance, etc.).- Provides manufacturing and finance decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; estimating future requirements (such as product labor time studies).- Participates in budgets and tracking of Operations-based manufacturing expenses and Capital Expense Requests/Reports (CERs).------------------------------------------PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS : The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
