 At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker to join the Wiremold Team in West Hardtford, CT. The Tool and Die Maker will provide production support through tool and die making activities. Major Responsibilities/Activities:- Qualified candidates must have 5 years' experience in new build/repair and troubleshooting of dies, experience and ability to work with progressive or transfer dies, the ability to work well in a team environment, the ability to provide detailed documentation on tooling issues and component prints, self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills.- Fabricates a range of tools including but not limited to tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, metal machine parts, die parts, roll form tools, punches, form tools, cams, and special tools; performs precision grinding, boring, or polishing of special tools and dies.- Assembles any manufactured parts into working production machines or machine subassemblies.- Uses both engineering blueprints and specifications as well as verbal instruction to produce and assemble dies, machines, jigs and components.- Sets up and operates all applicable machine tools and machinist’s hand tools.- Diagnoses and repairs production equipment and tools.- Makes own setups on CNC equipment including but not limited to programming by either CAD based or machine code programs.- Performs Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) schedules and assignments as required for the tools and machines used in the performance of this function.- Maintains all materials, tools and equipment in good repair and maintains orderly condition of work area consistent with 5 C practices and the Wiremold Production System.- Records information required for analysis and decision making including, but not limited to equipment performance, quality and productivity.- Complies with all OSHA and Company safety procedures and works in a safe manner to insure both personal safety and safety to others.- Performs all assignments with attention to quality standards of workmanship.- Reports current or potential problems or malfunctions that may affect assignment or operation of equipment.- May train others in repair and safe operation of equipment.- Performs other work as directed by supervisor.

 At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Wiremold Team in West Hartford, CT. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading and deploying the best practices in the manufacturing organization by taking initiative to support continuous improvement in various manufacturing processes by reducing costs and improving the flow of material and setting up cycle times. Will work towards achieving the manufacturing goals and objectives of the organization. This position will lead, facilitate, execute, and manage projects to reduce the costs significantly by implementing Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies. And uses their expertise to identify and recommend improvements by applying the relevant principles. What Will You Do?- Drives implementation/utilization of key Lean elements for all operations; such as 5S, Kaizen, Cellular Manufacturing, Kanban Replenishment, SMED, and Visual Management.- Develop principle work standards and line balancing for productivity.- Facilitate kaizen events with appropriate direction from the Lean Manager.- Optimize machining processes to reach product quality, efficiency and process repeatability.- Execute LEAN manufacturing techniques and design.- Optimize work flow and cell designs and introduce cost-effective automation for productivity and safety advantages.- Perform time studies to develop standard work.- Design machine and tools for new product or process.- Track and execute cost reduction for process improvements.- Initiate, communicate and manage investigations into process issues and quality (internal & external) issues to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions.- Communicate Lean group’s philosophy, vision and expectations.- Develop and sustain employees training and development on lean concepts.- Program management of the training system.- Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas.

 At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing  Associate to join the Wiremold Team in West Hartford, CT. Job Summary:Perform fabrication and assembly operations to produce products of all kinds, including more complex operations. Major Responsibilities/Activities:- Complies with all OSHA and Company safety procedures and works in a safe manner to insure both personal safety and safety of others.- Performs all assignments with attention to quality standards of workmanship.- Fabrication and assembly activities include, but are not limited to, pressing, tapping, welding, sealing, labeling, stamping, sawing, cutting, counting, loading and unloading products, cartons, and pallets.- Cutting to length and fabricating wires and assembling power/data devices into products, including terminating connections and testing of assemblies or finished products.- Ability to obtain and maintain wiring certification (if applicable).- Packs, seals, and labels all products utilizing tools and equipment as needed.
