The Design Engineer develops, evaluates, and validates product design, creates specification and documentation packages, preproduction builds, and transfers to production. What Will You Do?- Performs design and development work on new and existing products for use in electromechanical products. This includes reviewing, recommending, and appraising design work done by satellite facilities/vendors and the offshore design team.- Work with the Marketing Product Line Manager to develop the product specification. Gain consensus on design with marketing and manufacturing. Determine the appropriate codes and standards, testing requirements, end-user preferences and trends, and competitive product analysis.- Create sketches, 3D files, and prototype designs to provide different options to satisfy the product requirements and be used for customer feedback. Evaluate concepts to choose the best design for the business.
