At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Document Control Analyst to join the Building Control Systems Team in Carlsbad, CA. Partner with a diverse team across a matrix organization not limited to engineers, product managers, marketing, supply chain specialists, and other configuration management (CM) professionals and technical staff to process product configurations and changes within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software application ensuring accuracy and control of bills of material, drawings, schematics, software and supporting documentation. Utilize strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, critical thinking, complex problem solving and appropriate judgment and decision-making skills. What Will You Do?- Participate and collaborate in activities that support product configuration management and document control including the process for change requests (submitting, approving, developing, testing and migration to production).- Establish new configurations and change orders and prepare required authorization.- Analyze changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and prepare documentation necessary for change and implementation.- Prepare Change Control Board (CCB) agendas and facilitate technical and program reviews of engineering documentation.- Review and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.- Review released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.- Participate in all enterprise level meetings, reviews and providing necessary feedback as appropriate.- Guide team to sustain pertinent knowledge of management documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and/or update or establish new procedures as product life cycle matures.- Other duties as assigned.
