The Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer is the primary contributor to the design, documentation, commercialization, testing, integration, and maintenance of Starline’s embedded electronic devices. Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. Leads and manages complex projects and fully understands the area of specialization. This position is a hybrid role allowing for remote work 2-3 days per week.  What Will You Do?- Evaluate marketing specifications to produce engineering product specifications and development plans for embedded systems. Determine system reliability and select components to achieve the required product performance.- Lead DFMEAs, design reviews, and project status meetings.- Supervise or perform schematic development and printed circuit board layout to ensure functionality and compliance with UL, FCC, and CE regulations.- Define and implement rigorous verification and validation test plans.- Collaborate with test labs to conduct EMI/EMC/Safety testing to achieve global compliance.- Contribute to the specification of production test fixtures for new products.- Review the work of other engineers to identify and mitigate potential issues before product fabrication.- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute new product introductions.- Create technical documentation such as drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, installation instructions, work instructions, and product catalogs supporting new product releases.- Coach or mentor junior-level engineers and interns.- Partner with Production, Quality, and Purchasing staff to ensure product manufacturability.- Maintain released product lines concerning product enhancements and PCBA manufacturability.- Provide technical support to other departments for all embedded designs.

The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will lead the cycle counts a program.
