The Product Claims Manager will be the technical liaison in support of litigation and subrogation claims for the Pass & Seymour business. Will interact with liability insurance carrier representatives, brokers, internal & external legal counsel, technical consultants and hired experts to manage sensitive and potentially high-risk field complaints and manage adjudication.  Main Job Duties: - Maintain communication of claim status with P&S leadership, internal legal counsel and when appropriate Legrand Corporate. Meet regularly with Finance Director to review claims and update recommended financial reserves. Manage communications on product complaints, lab test failures, other non-conformances, new product introductions.- Interact with liability insurance carrier representatives, brokers, internal & external legal counsel, technical consultants and hired experts to manage sensitive and potentially high-risk field complaints and manage adjudication.- Provide engineering specifications, documentation and product samples to assist in investigations. Assist outside counsel in replies to interrogatories and requests for production of documents from plaintiffs.- Participate in on-site C&O investigations as deemed appropriate / requested by carrier rep & experts.- Serve as ‘corporate representative’ in litigation, providing deposition when needed. Participate in mediation and other claim settlement discussions, as well as any claims reaching court.- Maintain ‘Product Liability Document’ files – (both hard copy and electronic).- Work closely with Director, Continuous Engineering, Director, Product Quality and others, as needed, to review complaints. Discuss possibility of product / production hold, inventory auditing, re-work plans, engineering changes and/or corrective actions required.- Initiate and lead ‘Steering Committee’ to discuss risks and any need for product withdrawal or other field / market recall with leadership and Legal when necessary.- Lead cross-functional team on any product recalls deemed necessary, working with outside counsel.- Work with outside counsel on analysis and response to any CPSC incident report notification – involve Engineering and other groups as needed.
