At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Planner/Scheduler to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team in Tuas, SCP. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the day-to-day planning & scheduling to support customer orders. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders to establish due dates to meet customers’ needs. This position will interact heavily with peers in the planning group as well as the customer service specialist & production floor to optimize production output. This position provides support to all business areas of Starline and is a key driver for the organization’s customer focus values. What Will You Do?- Upon order-entry, utilize SyteLine (ERP) to identify order constraints; expedite constraints and provide updates.- Work with Production and Purchasing to systematically prioritize and execute production requirements; releases production orders to satisfy customer requirements and optimize efficiency.- Communicate daily order status, priorities, and schedule changes to internal stakeholders.- Utilize SyteLine (ERP) for data mining and analysis, determining root cause, reasons late of customer order shipments and past due job operations.- Understand the manufacturing process thoroughly, and have reasonable expectations as to what can be accomplished in a certain timeframe.- Evaluate production load against available capacity to make changes in scheduling as needed.- Establishes inventory requirements by studying manufacturing history and production forecasts; understand subcomponents and establishes safety stock levels as appropriate.- Follow-up on acknowledgements and open purchase order reports to eliminate bottlenecks.Additional Duties:- Manage Items and job orders being outsourced to contract manufacturers and clearly communicate status of these orders to managers and partners external to Starline.- Assist with problem solving of inventory accuracy, expedites, and part shortages.- Support the planning team by completing miscellaneous tasks and projects as needed.- Other duties as assigned by management.

The Jr. Expeditor will work with production planners and purchasing to ensure timely release of orders and sub-assemblies. What Will You Do?- Reviews and updates operations production plan daily to align production jobs with customer orders.- Accomplish this by running the “Order Lines Query” report in Achilles and cross referencing the data utilizing multiple forms withing Syteline and Dispatch.- Works hand-in-hand with production supervisors within value stream to determine material needs. - Accomplished using a combination of Syteline (Items form), Achilles reports (ItemTopLevelBOMReport), and Dispatch (manual auditing of jobs)- Interfaces with other departments on vendor problems, new parts, or new product lines to achieve maximum efficiency.- Expedites and follows up on parts shortages with internal parties.- Looks ahead utilizing Demand Summary APS form within Syteline and notifying appropriate parties when there are discrepancies in the dates (Purchasing and Planning)- Ensures sub-assemblies are completed by targeted dates to minimize final production downtime. - Follows up and ensures all production efforts are aligned in order to meet customer requirements. - Establishes and maintains good communications with planners and purchasing. - Performs other duties as required.
