At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Test Lab Technician to join the Kenall Team in Kenosha, WI.  What Will You Do?Perform testing functions required for new product development and to integrate new technologies into existing product lines. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:· Work under the general direction of the Compliance and Test Managers.· Organize test lab; maintain lab equipment, testing software, tools and testing supplies.· Understand product testing programs, and work with the designers to explain test procedures and Standards requirements for our products.· Troubleshoot and test for product/performance related field complaints and suggest possible solutions.· Interact with product designers, engineers and draftspersons where required to support product development.· Work with compliance personnel to investigate whether products are designed to meet or exceed all applicable specifications.· Perform failure analysis on fixtures as a result of field or production line problems.· Manage, prioritize and schedule physical testing labs to ensure proper operation, safety and cleanliness.· Assist Testing and Compliance Manager with UL/ETL submissions, quotations, and general file maintenance.· Facilitate and manage UL and ETL factory inspections.· Assist, supervise and train Junior Lab Technicians.· Perform high-level tests including EMI, Photometric, Water and Dust, and HALT/HASS testing.
